This crow came to visit and stayed, and stayed, and stayed, moving from one tree and one branch to another, not making a sound but watching me vigilantly.

isn't it nice a lot of times when birds just grace our backyard giving us a great photo opportunity? i like how the crow was perched on a thin branch with pink flower.
I think crows are very cunning and curious and at the same time they are very good inspector! You must have noticed it did not let you go out of its sight for a single moment.
My grandson has a "pet" crow that visits our woods on nearly a daily basis. Grandson "talks" to him (caw, caw, caw) and the crow, bless his heart, talks back every time! Love the birds; living in a wooded area, we get many different species.
My name is Debra, Debbie, Deb. I'm the oldest of 7 children, born and raised in the mid-west. Was in the Army when we were still WACs. Married to the same man for more than 30 years, and Retired (both of us). Have strong opinions that I love voicing but others hate hearing. I quit smoking in Sept 2007 after 36 years of living with a cigarette in my mouth, and became a new grandma in March 2008. Life just keeps getting sweeter!!
P/S The FLO in MamaFLO comes from the beginning of my last name.

I love crows because they are so creepy (at least in my opinion!) The tree is beautiful. What kind is it?
The flowering tree is a Crepe Mrytle and they bloom continuously all summer and come in about 4 colors; pale pink, fushia, scarlet, white.
I think crows are scary too.
your avatar makes me giggle and this post is fantastic. i love nature - no matter what the pic is. nice.

I love when the crows come by our house. There are two that come daily and I love to watch them. They are very clever and loud.
