Antigua, Guatamala
We were recently on a cruise that took us to Puerto Quetzal, Guatamala and from there we took an excursion to Antigua up in the mountains. This was a church in the main square area (everything in Mexico, Central, and South America is built with a main square area). The architecture and detail of the stone work can take your breath away.
Where have all the craftsman gone in America, why don't they build such majesty now?

wow, great to know you had wonderful cruising trip. i too love stunning architecture with detailed stone work, i could not help but just marvel at the creativity and ingenuity of the artist.
